Rothschild is an historic community rich with a lumber and paper making history along the Wisconsin River. The population is 5,834 and is strong in industry and has two large retail areas situated at hub ramps at I39/US 51 and US 29 off the BUS HWY 51 corridor. Rothschild lies at the southern edge of the larger Wausau metro area and is bordered by I39 on the west and STH 29 on the north making the Village uniquely situated for immediate access to major highways.    

Rothschild also hosts two elementary schools, six churches, and is in the D.C. Everest school district which has received a high academic rating. The Village has a strong tie to nature as it is a long standing Tree City USA member has a waterfront park, several other well maintained parks with soccer/baseball facilities, an aquatic center, two boat landings, and two woodland paved bike trails.  

Currently, Rothschild is still developing the Cedar Creek business area (I39/US 51 Hub ramp) and planning a redevelopment TID at the STH 29 hub ramp. We feel that Rothschild is just one of those places that you just want to be.
